Job Summary
The Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational policies.
This position's internal job code is Systems Administrator. Our team is currently hiring for level 3 or 4.
Responsibilities
The Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational policies. Job duties include:
Windows and Linux (RHEL) Systems Administration & Provisioning equipment
Install new/rebuild existing servers in VMware and Azure
Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions
Repair and recover from hardware or software failures as required
Create and manage Distro lists, shared mailboxes, and security groups in on-prem Active Directory and Azure AD
Deploy and maintain software and OS packages, updates, and upgrades in SCCM/Intune/Satellite Server
Stand up and maintain application and license servers for engineering users
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
Provide Tier III/other support upon request. Investigate and troubleshoot issues
Identify approaches that leverage company resources and provide economies of scale
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in Systems Administration
Experience managing Windows and Linux environments
Experience with VMware virtualization
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate or higher
VMware Certified Professional or higher
Experience with Microsoft tools like: Azure, O365, Intune, SCCM, SharePoint, etc.
Experience with engineering and collaboration software such as: Jira, Teamwork Cloud, Teamcenter, etc.
Experience with Veeam Backup suite
Physical Demands of the Work Environment
Ability to lift up to 35lb to rack server equipment
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay-Range
Level 3: $94,350 - $138,750
Level 4:$116,450 - $171,250
