Job Summary As a Space Research & Development Engineer, you will be responsible for performing hands-on end-to-end prototyping including design, assembly, integration, and test, particularly in the area of mission concept verification, small satellites, payloads, and their associated components.
Job responsibilities include:
Develop new solutions to address customer needs
Develop and integrate new technologies
Manage Fast Prototype Development
Perform Fast Prototyping Facilitation and Implementation
Perform Advanced Concept Prototyping
Develop New Systems Technologies
Design, Develop and Test New spacecraft System, Subsystem, and components
Develop New Payload Technologies
Develop New Bus Technologies
Develop New Communication Systems
Develop Special Technologies as required
Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Sciences, General Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Demonstrated success developing technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
Proficiency with scientific prototyping languages such as MATLAB, SIMULINK, Labview, IDL, Python, and/or Mathematica
5+ years leading the research, development, and analysis efforts in support of a project.
