Job Summary
As a Space Research & Development Engineer, you will be responsible for performing hands-on end-to-end prototyping including design, assembly, integration, and test, particularly in the area of mission concept verification, small satellites, payloads, and their associated components.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Develop new solutions to address customer needs
  • Develop and integrate new technologies
  • Manage Fast Prototype Development
  • Perform Fast Prototyping Facilitation and Implementation
  • Perform Advanced Concept Prototyping
  • Develop New Systems Technologies
  • Design, Develop and Test New spacecraft System, Subsystem, and components
  • Develop New Payload Technologies
  • Develop New Bus Technologies
  • Develop New Communication Systems
  • Develop Special Technologies as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of working experience OR an Associate's degree or 10+ years of working experience in a related field
  • Demonstrated success developing technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
  • Proficiency with scientific prototyping languages such as MATLAB, SIMULINK, Labview, IDL, Python, and/or Mathematica
  • 5+ years leading the research, development, and analysis efforts in support of a project.
