Job Summary
Senior Mission & Systems Engineer with a strong background in spaceborne electro-optical sensor technology covering visible to infrared. Will own mission performance requirements for a advanced IR camera, and able to model mission phenomenology and detection performance considering the spectral, spatial, and radiometric attributes of the sensor. Will serve as the primary interface between the sensor payload, space vehicle team and mission data processing team. Will manage the interfaces between these elements. Experience with modeling, simulation, analysis, calibration, and target detection in complex high clutter backgrounds.

Responsibilities
Develops and validates requirements for EO sensors and associated image processing..
Develops and validates mission and payload requirements for mission level and SV interfaces.
Develops architectures to integrate multiple systems into higher level systems and platforms.
Leads development of trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around complex requirements.
Develops new and improved modeling and simulation techniques.
Leads development and execution of critical tests to validate performance of designs to requirements.
Manages appropriate aspects of critical supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.
Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle by providing guidance and support to resolve complex issues.
Supports project management by providing coordinating development of work statement, budget, schedule and other required inputs and conducting appropriate reviews.
Creates new tools to improve management of projects.
Leads development of major sections of large-scale proposals to support development of new business.
Works under consultative direction
Minimum Qualifications
Masters of Science in a related technical discipline
12 years experience working with advanced spaceborne electro optical systems.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate of Science in a related technical discipline
10 years of experience working with advanced spaceborne electro optical systems.

Summary Pay-Range
Level 5: $155,550 - $228,750
