Job Summary As a Radio Frequency (RF) Payload Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of new digital processing systems, payload electronics programs, and antenna systems in support of RF/Digital payloads.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Develop design concepts and technical baselines for payload communications processors and satellite controllers
Develop payload subsystem-level requirements and interface definitions
Test and document models and algorithms of different sensor phenomenology
Simulate, evaluate and document system level performance trades of advanced space concepts
Support existing space and ground-based development efforts and operational missions
Support external proposals, internal research & development projects, patent applications and technical applications
Determining project and program resource management and requirements
Provide customer support and cross functional support for program and organization needs
Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of working experience OR an Associate's degree or 10+ years of working experience
8 plus years’ experience with RF Payloads or Communications systems, design, development, analysis and test
Experience with leading multi-discipline teams (hardware/software) to produce advanced RF payloads and/or digital systems.
Experience with proposal development, technical and cost submissions
Proven ability to develop and analyze technical requirements, perform trade studies, conduct major design reviews (e.g. PDR and/or CDR).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, management, and peers
Experience with RF design communication satellite tools.
