Spacecraft Power Systems Engineer - Mid Career

Job Summary 
As a Spacecraft Power Engineer, your systems will power Millennium satellites -- literally. Power Engineers work closely with spacecraft systems engineers, other subsystem responsible engineers, and customers to architect and develop power subsystem designs from end-to-end, including energy generation and storage and power distribution.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Perform spacecraft EPS design and analysis at the spacecraft level, including interfaces with other subsystems
  • Develop system, subsystem, and component level requirements derived from higher level requirements sets
  • Develop spacecraft level power models to predict power loading and performance margins to support system design
  • Brief design and analysis materials to program managers, customers, and/or sponsors
  • Support system level functional and environmental testing
  • Provide on-orbit support during mission operations and anomaly resolution
  • Assist in proposal and business development efforts
  • Coordinate efforts with consultants when necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of working experience OR an Associate's degree or 10+ years of working experience in a related field
  • 5 or more years experience in the design, development, analysis, implementation, testing, and/or operation of spacecraft power systems
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-reliability automotive or aerospace electronics
  • Experience with mitigation of space radiation effects on microelectronics
  • Experience in MATLAB
  • Experience with hardware design tools such as Altium, OrCad, Allegro, DxDesigner, or PADS
  • Preference to candidates with active TS/SCI clearance
