Job Summary You will help make Millennium’s products and spacecraft safer and more reliable in all domains, including multi-year, variable orbit missions. Inform the design of next generation spacecraft products and vehicles by working with engineering teams to mitigate risk, improve performance, and reduce cost.
This position's internal job code is Procurement Agent. Our team is currently hiring for levels 1 - 2.
Job Responsibilities
Apply statistical techniques to perform and facilitate time dependent reliability and availability analyses for complex units and subsystems
Validate mission, spacecraft, and unit level reliability requirements
Support product and system design by identifying high-risk components (MTBF, FIT, overstressed, etc) alternatives early in designs or in redesigns cycles
Review schematics and system architecture diagrams to identify high probability failure modes
Perform risk mitigation trade studies at the product and spacecraft level
Develop FEMCA, RBD and FTA models to evaluate trade studies
Apply analytical techniques to a diverse set of structured and unstructured data located in multiple databases
Communicate work with relevant internal and external stakeholders through various media
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline and 1+ years of working electronics engineering experience
Ability to calculate electrical and thermal stress parameters based on operating and datasheet parameters
Working knowledge of statistical analysis concepts such as normal distribution, standard deviations, mean, probability, and confidence levels
Ability to explain the above concepts to a general audience through strong communication and presentation skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degrees in engineering, physics or math
Background in digital and analog electronics design and ability to read schematics
Experience in launch vehicles, spacecraft or other aerospace systems and/or products design
Demonstrated understanding of EEE parts failure modes and associated probabilities
3+ years of professional, internship, or project experience in a multidisciplinary role (i.e. engineering roles in manufacturing, integration, reliability, technical program management, or operations)
Knowledge and experience with HALT and HASS/ESS for electronic and/or electro-mechanical systems
Experience with Physics of Failure

Summary Pay-Range
Level 1: $73,100 - $107,500
Level 2: $87,550 - $128,750
