Job Summary
The Procurement Manager coordinates closely with programs, engineering, planning, manufacturing, logistics, inventory, shipping and receiving to ensure supply is delivered on time to meet manufacturing requirements and program schedules. As the manager you will lead a growing team of ten procurement agents to manage all activities for general procurement for the company.
We are looking for a detail-oriented problem-solver that can manage high-mix of program requirements, government compliance, implement novel processes and solutions to help scale our business, and clearly communicate potential risks and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and senior leaders. Our goal is to become a leader in supply chain management with a focus on excellent customer service, fast response times, and on time delivery. This role will be responsible for leading the day-to-day procurement execution, while also driving the necessary strategic projects and process improvements to take the organization to the next level and respond to the evolving needs of the business.

Leadership Responsibility
• Lead procurement to firmly establish supply chain execution for on-time delivery at Millennium Space Systems • Manage all direct reports with thoughtful and encouraging leadership • Commit to creating a workplace that supports diversity and inclusion • Mentor team members to provide the best opportunity for each induvial to succeed leading to overall success of the team • Coach team members on achieving goals and developing necessary skills that get results by developing team members’ performance, offering feedback, and demonstrating desired skills • Encourage job growth by helping team members expand into areas that they may be unfamiliar with • Communicate with VPs, Directors, and Program Managers proactively on status, critical path, and supply issues or other areas of concern on a regular basis
Technical Responsibility
Procurement
Mitigate risk and ensure continuity of supply
Develops, maintains, and monitors daily PO release and supply deliveries, report issues affecting targets with manufacturing, procurement, engineering, or others as needed
Account for changes in customer requirements and delays in material availability
Utilize best planning practices and exceptional communication to translate the company IMS and forecast orders into achievable production schedules that insure on-time delivery
Develop and execute market leading sourcing strategy for all commodities, should cost models, understanding of market and industry positions, capabilities, capacity and risk assessment, and total cost ownership considered
Create sourcing strategies to reduce risk and meet targets for the purchasing department, including but not limited to, payment terms, cash targets, on time delivery and cost savings
Communication, Process Improvements, and Metrics
Manage and escalate material supply risks to internal stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally to develop and execute mitigation plans
Act as escalation point for concerns and develop a best practice for communication and feedback of status on PO’s including material shortages, past due orders, discrepancies with recommended solutions to resolve schedule and material issues
Identify and lead process improvement initiatives related to execution and planned growth, included by not limited to: process improvements, communication pathways, improved hand-offs, procurement optimization, KPI build-out and employee training
Collaborate with other departments, including logistics, purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, to support operational and long-term scaling objectives
Ensure that plans, schedules, and performance metrics are available and regularly report progress to others for all commodities to support on-time delivery
Procurement Compliance
Lead team to prepare, issue and analyze procurement packages that are compliant with CPSR, FAR/DFAR and other government flow downs
Drive accuracy of procurement master data and procurement packages
Champion procurement system development activities for CPSR, NIST, FAR/DFAR, and AS9100
Minimum Qualifications • 1 year of management in supply chain • 3 years of experience working in supply chain
Preferred Qualifications • 2+years of managing a procurement organization • 5+ years with BS/BA, or 3+ years with MS/MA or MBA, or 10+ years of direct experience in procurement • Direct experience and working knowledge of agreement negotiations, T&C’s management, procurement systems • Experience working in aerospace, pharmaceuticals, or auto manufacturing industry

Summary Pay-Range
Level K : $118,150-$173,750
