Job Summary
As a Payload Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the system engineering of mission-unique payloads.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Testing and documenting models and algorithms of different sensor phenomenology’s and satellite
  • Simulating, evaluating and documenting system level performance trades of advanced space concepts
  • Supporting existing space and ground-based development efforts and operational missions
  • Supporting external proposals, internal research & development projects, patent applications and technical applications
  • Generate novel sensor concepts to meet evolving customer requirements
  • Project and program resource management and requirements
  • Customer support, and program development
  • Provide cross functional support for program and organization needs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of working experience OR an Associate's degree or 10+ years of working experience ​​​​​​​
  • Experience with space-worthy communications unit, subsystem, or payload integration and test
  • Experience coordinating engineering disciplines in resolving system-level issues, understanding system-to-system interfaces, and serving as a proactive troubleshooter
  • System engineering process, including: document relationships, functional concepts, key interfaces, performance relationships, test sufficiency
