Responsibilities As the Director of Security, this position will be the cognizant authority to represent the company internally as well as to our National Security customers for all Security and Information Assurance related activities. This candidate will be responsible for the leadership and management of a team of security professionals to ensure security compliance with government and company regulations.
Prepare, coordinate and lead security inspections for both DoD and SCI levels
Ensure that the company maintains proper security cognizance and certifications with respect to security requirements, reminders and alerts
Manage a diverse portfolio of security infrastructure projects to include a variety of infrastructure refreshment activity, construction of new facilities, and other technical projects
Generate Program Security Plans and Program Protection Plans
Review and provide inputs and substantive feedback to Customer-generated Security Classification Guides (SCGs)
Responsible for supervising and directing security measures necessary for implementing the requirements of security measures in accordance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Manual 5205.07 Vol. 1 – 4, DoD M5105.21 Vol 1 -3, NSA 3-16 and ICD705 procedures.
Coordinate, plan and maintain proper security education, to include generating and maintaining company security policies, procedures and guidelines
Coordinate with company IT personnel to ensure adequate and compliant security measures and safeguards are incorporated onto all company computers, data servers, and incoming/outgoing lines (both wired and wireless)
Maintain security files for all company personnel and consultants that include PSQ and SF86 security questionnaires, security update information, Personnel Access Requests (PARs), foreign travel documentation, security refresher certifications and any security infractions or violations
Ensure and coordinate security certifications (for the company and for appropriate personnel for DoD, SCI, COMSECand SAP/SAR activities as applicable)
Coordinate and maintain cognizance on new security clearance applications (PARs, Cross-overs, LoCNs); and lead and maintain security processes for company SCIF areas and other secure facilities, including external customer and other organizational interfaces.
As time permits, you will also be involved in internal company planning, proposals and business strategies to assess how we can best leverage company capabilities to provide cost effective solutions for the products and services our customers seek.
Applicant must hold an active TS/SCI clearance
10 or more years of relevant aerospace security experience with Bachelor's Degree in related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Well versed in the NISPOM and Government security requirements
Experience with JPAS and e-Qip
Experience with NISS
Ability to obtain and retain DoD8570 IAM III Certification
Knowledge of the applicable government security regulations: Joint Air Force Army Navy Special Access Program Manual (JFAN), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), NOI 40.4 (COMSEC), NRO Security Manual (NSM), National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM)
Must be willing and able to work flexible hours to provide after hours response for alarm situations
