Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented, well-rounded, and security-minded IT Systems Administrator to join our team. IT Systems Administrators are responsible for maintaining, configuring, updating, and integrating our secure enterprise and air-gapped systems with a complex variety of operating systems, software applications, and hardware. You will work with collaborative teams of peers that specialize in maintaining compliance standards that keep our systems updated and secure.
This position's internal job code is System Design & Integration Specialist. Our team is currently hiring for level 2 and 3.
Responsibilities
The Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational policies. Job duties include:
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for effective configuration, operation, and maintenance of hardware and software on our secure networks. This includes troubleshooting, conducting preventative maintenance, and securing systems in accordance with industry compliance standards
Expected to provide Tier II and below support
Manage system installation, configuration, upgrades, and updates on secure networks
Maintain documentation for system operations, changes, and procedures
Provide technical support and interact with customers in-person, by email, or by response to tickets
Escalate tickets, tasks, and problems as required
Monitor systems and resolve issues to prevent costly downtime

Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a TS/SCI and a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program
Must be able to obtain and maintain an 8570 compliant IAT Level 2 or higher certification, such as CompTIA Security+ or higher
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an IT Systems Administrator or related role
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Linux operating systems
Familiarity with Cisco and Palo Alto switches and firewalls
Experience with VEEAM Backup Suite
Familiarity with Windows and Linux integration
Ability to create technical documentation to train end users
MCSA certification
Physical Demands of the Work Environment
Ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment (40lbs), as necessary.
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay-Range
Level 2: $86,700 - $127,500
Level 3: $108,800- $160,000
