Job Summary As an EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment) Engineer you will be responsible for designing electrical test equipment, (Hardware In the Loop Systems) HILS, and other EGSE to validate our flight hardware and satellite systems. You will work closely with other engineering teams, (Assembly, Test, and Launch Ops) ATLO, program management, and manufacturing to understand component and satellite design to develop test equipment, HILS, and EGSE on schedule and within budget.
This position's internal job code is Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer. Our team is currently hiring for levels 3 and 4.
Job Responsibilities
Design HILs or EGSE that fully validate embedded systems per a given set of test requirements from system engineers
Validate all electrical interfaces between test equipment and flight hardware
Release complete hardware design documentation: including all block diagrams, assembly drawings and notes, analysis, deratings, harnessing schematics, and bill of materials
Coordinate with programs or products on schedules, risks, and budgets for HILS and EGSE designs
Coordinate with manufacturing on EBOMs, released engineering, work orders, and discrepancy reports
Train other engineers and provide documentation on how to use EGSE and HILS
Provide ongoing support on developed hardware
Provide Mentorship to junior EGSE team members
Create standards for good practices in designing and executing on EGSE
Take ownership of projects with minimal guidance from supervisors or program managers
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Methodical design, testing, and troubleshooting capabilities
Working knowledge of ECAD software, PCBA design, and harness design
Must be versatile and able to perform and manage multiple tasks concurrently
5-10 years experience
Preferred Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance
Experience with Altium Designer and SPICE
Experience with National Instruments hardware or equivalent test hardware
Experience with Zuken E3, Capital, or similar harness design software
Experience with LabVIEW, Python, or C
Experience with Deltek Costpoint
Experience with satellite environmental test programs per NASA and MIL-STD requirements
Experience with early life-cycle satellite engineering activities, spacecraft integration and test, and launch operations
Physical Demands of the Work Environment
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds to help guide technicians with assembly of test equipment

Summary Pay-Range
Level 3: $104,550 - $153,750
Level 4: $126,650 - $186,250
