Job Summary As an Avionics & Harness Technician, you will literally build our spacecraft. You will work hands-on with space hardware, translating designs into reality, and your skill and attention to detail will translate directly to on-orbit mission success.
This position's internal job code is Avionics and Harness Technician B. Our team is currently hiring for grade 15.
Responsibilities
Fabricate harnesses for spacecraft and ground systems
Fabricate electro-mechanical assemblies for spacecraft and ground systems
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Relevant Work Experience
Ability to maintain an organized, clean workspace
Demonstrated ability to work with peers
Strong attention to detail
Ability to read schematics
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Applicants must pass a soldering and crimping test
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a clean room
Ability to create mechanical and electrical drawings from engineer's draft inputs
Ability to create manufacturing procedure documents
Ability to obtain Clearance
Ability to travel
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Frequent standing, sitting, stopping, kneeling, crawling, and squatting is required
Able to lift up to 50lbs to transfer or move tools, parts, equipment, containers and materials
Have the ability to operate standard computer software (Microsoft office and ERP), equipment and keyboards
Able to work in normal office as well as inside and outside industrial working environments
Possess the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
Have ability to fly on regular commercial airlines to offsite locations and launch facilities
Familiar with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to, filtered respirators, SCAPE (Self Contained Atmospheric Protective Ensemble), portable air packs, and splash suits

Summary Pay-Range
Grade 15: $20.97/hr - $30.95/hr
