Job Summary
As a Satellite Support MGSE Engineer you will be responsible for designing mechanical test and assembly fixtures, (Hardware In the Loop Systems) HILS assembly drawings, and other MGSE assembly drawings to validate our flight hardware and satellite systems. You will work closely with other engineering teams, (Assembly, Test, and Launch Ops) ATLO, program management, and manufacturing to understand component and satellite design to develop test and assembly fixtures, HILS assembly drawings, and MGSE assembly drawings on schedule and within budget.
This position's internal job code is Equipment & Tool Engineer. Our team is currently hiring for levels 1 or 2.
Responsibilities
Design test and assembly fixtures per requirements
Compile complete hardware design documentation for test and assembly fixtures, including all block diagrams, assembly drawings and notes, harnessing schematics, and bill of materials
Coordinate with programs or products on schedules, risks, and budgets for test and assembly fixtures, HILS and MGSE mechanical designs
Coordinate with manufacturing on EBOMs, released engineering, work orders, and discrepancy reports
Interface with spacecraft mechanical design team for guidance for MGSE designs
Provide ongoing support on developed hardware
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent working experience
Methodical design, testing, and troubleshooting capabilities
Must be versatile and able to perform and manage multiple tasks concurrently
Experience using Solidworks or similar CAD software
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance
Experience with thermal and mechanical analysis software
Experience with environmental test equipment and chambers including Random Vibration, Thermal Oven, and Thermal Vacuum Oven
Experience designing fixturing for manufacturing and test
Experience with Deltek Costpoint
Experience with satellite environmental test programs per NASA and MIL-STD requirements
Experience with early life-cycle satellite engineering activities, spacecraft integration and test, and launch operations
Knowledge of operational safety requirements

Summary Pay-Range
Level 1: $66,300 - $97,500
Level 2: $81,600 - $120,000
