Job Summary: The Survivability Engineer will derive radiation environments and apply those models toward defining and refining requirements, mission risk profiles and CONOPS decisions, while supporting electronic part selection with timely reviews, test execution and information exchanges. You will represent the radiation effects discipline inside Millennium as a subject matter expert and ambassador. Through test results, analyses and recommendations based on sound engineering judgement, you'll support numerous programs and every product to make on-time and on schedule deliveries. You will play a vital role to improve the lifetime and capabilities of Millennium's products and vehicles with innovative radiation effects test and analysis. You will make an immediate impact by driving mission design through detailed environment modeling, transport simulations of radiation through materials, event rate calculations and availability impact assessments. The Survivability Engineer will grow awareness of the critical role radiation effects plays in the overall success of Millennium Space Systems!

Job Responsibilities:
Derive radiation environments for specific mission profiles using CREME96, OMERE, SPENVIS or similar tools
Evaluate customer radiation requirements for Total Ionizing Dose and Single Event Effects
Assist with evaluation of electronic parts for new and existing designs
Develop radiation effects test plans
Coordinate test hardware procurement
Lead and assist with construction of test set ups
Travel to test sites, as needed (10%)
Analyze test data for radiation effects
Support Program, Product, and Systems engineering with results and analysis
Support trade studies at the program and product level
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. in Physics or Electrical Engineering with 1-6 years relevant experience or Master or PhD within a relevant research field
Ability to read, analyze and create schematics
Ability to use typical laboratory equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, DAQs, ect)
Ability to solder electrical components
Experience with Python, MATLAB or similar systems for data analysis and/or test automation
Proficiency in MS Office
Exceptional ability to create and maintain professional relationships in and outside of Millennium Space Systems
Impeccable ability to distill and share relevant information with colleagues and customers
Preferred Qualifications:
Test or analysis experience with radiation effects in microelectronics
Experience with CREME96, OMERE, and/or SPENVIS
Experience with LabVIEW
Test circuit design and assembly experience
Electrical circuit simulation with LTSPICE or similar software
Experience with Raspberry Pi and/or Arduino for remote operations
Active TS/SCI

Summary Pay-Range:
Level 2: $87,550 - $128,750
