Job Summary As a Mission Systems Engineer, you will be working on a variety of government space-related projects. This position will be responsible for developing and defining system-level design concepts that meet the mission needs of our customers on a variety of programs. Your responsibilities will span integrating, testing, and delivering complete mission systems. The candidate will work with a diverse team of employees with a variety of focused disciplines.
Identify system integration and test activities involving multiple levels of integration (segments and elements), environmental testing, and final flight check out oversight
Develop system designs and perform data analysis
Serve as the subject matter expert on parts of a complex system
Perform a variety of analysis such as timeline and detail studies to meet customer requirements and specifications
Ensure product requirements
Create, review, and maintain all proper system documentation
Schedule integrated testing activities
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering or physical science discipline
Proven experience in leading systems engineering on complex programs
Familiarity in a STEM field with at least 5-8 years in systems
Knowledge of satellites, ground, or non-space operational environments
Well- organized, able to prioritize given tasks on daily basis
Demonstrate effective teamwork principles and team building
Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Physical Science discipline
Pre-launch activities experience and launch campaigns satellites
Experience with model-based engineering
Experience with ground systems
