An engineer or technical person by trade with a firm understanding of trade controls/compliance and configuration management
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Form partnerships with key stakeholders to understand program/product designs and strategies and provide tailored regulatory guidance
Evolve Millennium’s global trade infrastructure (automation, processes, training and assessments)
Understand regulations governing global trade to achieve trade compliance objectives by providing regulatory interpretation and guidance in the following areas: commodity classifications, engineering change notice reviews, BOM review, technical reviews, etc.)
Become a recognized SME representing Engineering to help develop, implement and maintain the collaboration process between Engineering and Trade Compliance and strengthen their individual processes
Be a team player who understands and promotes a culture of continuous improvement and collective goals
Bachelor's degree in relevant field and typically 3 or more years' related work experience with a majority of the basic and preferred qualifications above, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Self-starter able to work complex issues (i.e. roll up your sleeves) across functional teams
Ability to act as cross-department liaison with all engineering disciplines
Comprehensive communication and interpersonal skills conducive to a collaborative environment, with both technical and nontechnical team members
Attention to detail with excellent organizational, written and analytic skills
Capability to develop and implement new process…and revise and repeat as required
A thorough understanding of US export regulations (ITAR/EAR)
Experience with export jurisdiction and classification determination
Working in a regulatory/regulated environment
Aerospace/Space industry trade compliance (ITAR/EAR)
Highly technical fields relevant to the design and manufacture of aerospace or space products
General understanding of configuration management
Ability to read and convert engineering drawings to usable BOM
Understanding export controls touch points within the overall business processes
Ability to develop solutions to problems with consideration of all stakeholders’ feedback and all requirements
Possess project management/coordination skills
Previous experience in a classified environment preferred; active security clearance or SSBI within the past 5 years ideal
