Job Summary As Surface Mount Technology Operator, you will be an integral part of the state-of-the art surface-mount technology (SMT) assembly facility. Using this facility, you and your team will produce high-reliability electronics assemblies for Millenniums satellites and components.
Generate processes for operating the SMT assembly line
Recruit, train and manage technical staff for the SMT assembly line
Prepare training, process and other documentation
Implement quality control and continual improvement for SMT assembly line
Produce high-mix, low volume, high-reliability electronic circuit board assemblies
Three years of experience managing and operating SMT equipment
Knowledge of PCB data exports
Knowledge of IPC J-STD-00, IPC-A-610, ISO 9001, AS9100, ESD and SPC
Experience programming and operating SMT equipment including; solder paste printing, pick and place, reflow, inspection, cleaning, and electrical test equipment
Able to read and comprehend process documentation including Bills of Materials and Assembly Drawings
Able to identify components
PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience with aerospace or space manufacturing, NASA-STD-8739
Experience with recruiting and managing hourly technical staff
