Job Summary
As a Spacecraft Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for mechanical design and configuration of satellite structures. Your designs will ensure that our space vehicles survive their complete development and operational lifecycles, including test, transport, launch, initialization and long-term operations.

Job Duties Include but are not Limited To:

  • Perform design and configuration tasks necessary to deliver high performance satellite systems
  • Perform spacecraft design, configuration, layout, and mass properties analyses
  • Identify and procures materials, processes, and facilities necessary to deliver a qualified spacecraft structure
  • Identify and tracks subsystem schedule and deliverables
  • Support structural qualification testing on spacecraft systems and components including test design, test conduct, data reduction, analysis, and reporting
  • Develop first-order structural models in support of mechanical design performance predictions
  • Develop and documents required design processes.
  • Assist with development of part and assembly drawings to facilitate Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a related field
  • Ability to design, develop, implement, and test structure systems and/or mechanism designs for spacecraft.
  • Demonstrate clear communication and organizational skills
  • 3-5 years’ experience with spacecraft or aircraft structures design
  • 3-5 years’ experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD package

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
